Clarity-noun. clearness or lucidity as to perception or understanding; freedom from indistinctness or ambiguity. Synonyms: simplicity, exactness, intelligibility. the state or quality of being clear or transparent to the eye; pellucidity. the clarity of pure water. However, biblical clarity is the discernment and understanding of spiritual truths and realities as revealed by God through His Word and the Holy Spirit. It involves the ability to perceive God's Will, recognize His voice, and distinguish between truth and deception in spiritual matters. (https://biblehub.com/topical/s/spiritual_clarity.htm)
Have you ever heard from God in a way that cannot be credited to anyone but Him? How did you respond? Did you seek guidance from a trusted spiritual leader, a prayer-warrior friend, or perhaps even a parent? Or, did you immediately obey His direction without any reservation whatsoever?
How do you clarify what you hear from God? Do you line it up with His Word? His Word is not only true; it is clear. The clarity of Scripture means that God's Word is not obscure or hidden but perspicuous-open, honest, and sufficient for all who seek it with faith and humility. Thus, it actually relates to the doctrine of sufficiency.
“The entrance of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.” (Psalm 119:130, NKJV) (https://biblehub.com/topical/s/spiritual_clarity.htm
Let me suggest a few ways to get clarity from God:
1) Pray for His Will, and not our plans or desires to be manifested in our lives. (Prov. 3:5-6; Jer. 29:11; 2 Cor. 7:14)
2) Invite others to agree with you in prayer, not give advice/opinion, pray for God's clear direction, and trust Him. (Matt. 18:19-20; Phil. 1:19)
3) Align your prayers with God's Word, surrendering your will and submitting your heart to His faithful guidance. (Ps. 119:133; Ps. 37:23; James 1:5; Isaiah 48:17)
Even more important than clarity is faith. Hebrews 11:6 tells us that "without faith it is impossible to please God." Faith says that we don't know what God is going to do, but we trust that whatever He does is what's best for us.
Psalms 32:8 says, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you." (NIV)
If we truly trust God, we must listen for His voice and follow His instructions fully, regardless of what it looks like. God never shows us the whole picture, simply because He wants us to believe Him and every promise that He has made us in His Word. So clarity from God is important, but vital to clarity is faith in God. If He shows us the way, and we line up with His Will, yet we refuse to trust Him, it's all for nothing
Prayer: Lord, please help my faith in the areas where it is weak. Give me courage to obey You, and to trust Your Will for my life; even when what I see looks right. Make my faith stronger than my doubt, or my fears, LORD. Show me Your way, and I will follow it, for I trust You with my life, entirely. Amen
